Great Price "Garmin 405 No HRM Monitor" Today
I've loved having this watch. I really like knowing how fast and how far I've gone on my runs. The heart rate monitor is an added bonus. The GPS is always exactly accurate when compared to my car's odometer or when running on a track.
Some people have said they've had problems with the touch bezel when it gets wet or when hands are sweaty but I haven't had any trouble at all (not even when it was raining). It always works for me every time. I would recommend this watch to anybody - I love it.

Customer Review
some problems - bloodnok - east finchley
rewritten this review after resolving some issues with this product:
1) if the ant agent is running (& it makes itself a login app so it's more or less guaranteed) & you unplug the ant stick, it panics the osx kernel. that loses major points, garmin. apparently, a third-party supplied the usb driver. i'm waiting for an update that fixes this nasty bug.
2) earlier complained about a sync failure. after reinstalling software & complaining to support, finally found the cause: the timer was still running. that was obvious [insert sarcmark here], especially when i'd assumed pressing the stop button would stop it. discovered this when the unit's battery drained after only a couple hours when i thought it in power save mode.
for posterity, here's my prior one star review:
"the gps unit may work. the ant stick garbage doesn't. first, if the ant agent is running (& it sticks itself in your login app so it's more or less guaranteed to be there) & you unplug the ant stick, it panics the osx kernel. well written, idiots. second, after a single successful sync, the ant stick refuses to acknowledge the forerunner. just doesn't see it. so much for being an easy way of loading your exercising onto various & sundry site. i rate this a total fail. have a support request in with garmin. if they resolve my issue(s) i may revise this rant. for now, colour me disappointed & really pissed off."
Garmin 405 - Jon - Kansas
First time using a gps device and couldn't be happier. It completely liberated my running and I now look forward to my runs and exploring new areas off the beaten path. I would recommend this product to all level of runners. The bezel is great and has not given me any of the problems that others have mentioned.
